Bovine mastitis is an inflammation of mammary glands and secretory tissues, that reduces the milk volume, alters its taste and the chemical and physical characteristics of it. Numerous studies have demonstrated that the main pathogens that cause this pathology are Staphylococcus spp. However, data previously published about the prevalence of Staphylococcus spp species and virulence factors in Colombia are limited. Although phenotypic studies help to identify and understand the distribution of microorganisms implied in this etiology, approaches based on DNA can have a higher utility for this proposal. The objective of the present research is to determine the genes frequency that codify for thermostable nuclease and coagulase in Staphylococcus spp strains, isolated from milk samples come from teats affected with certain bovine mastitis degree. Materials y methods. In this research, we employed 70 Staphylococcus spp strains, for the analysis on the molecular level of 16S rRNA and the presence of nuc y coa gens. Results. From the 70 strains, 57 were identified through rRNA fragments sequencing 16S; 63.15% belonged to the group of coagulase-positive Staphylococcus (CPS) y 37.84% to Coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (CNS). The results of sequencing showed a prevalence of 80% and 57.1% of the nuc and coa genes respectively. In Staphylococcus aureus, it was determined the presence of both gens in a 45.7%. Conclusions. Data indicate that although the CPS presence represents the main causing factor of this pathology, the high prevalence of CNS must be taken as a potential risk in bovine mastitis. nuc and coa gens distribution suggests that these characteristics are mainly found in S aureus, that is why they, as a group, are considered an important molecular tool for the diagnosis of this microorganism

A method of obtaining new modified sorbents based on flasks of Astrakhan region is presented. A comparative study of the sorption of lead ions on the surfaces of the sorbents was carried out. Also, the static adsorption isotherm of substances from aqueous solutions was studied. The change of enthalpy (H), isobaric-isothermal potential (G) and entropy (S) of sorption and kinetics of lead ions sorption from water solutions were calculated. The results of the study can be used for the water purification from lead ions.

The article presents the results of studies on the use of flocculant N-600 for flocculation treatment of model wastewater solutions. The effect of the nature and concentration of the (poly) electrolyte on the flocculation rate of BAU activated carbon suspensions and silica sand was studied. The dependences of efficiency on the volume of the introduced reagent are presented.

This experiment was carried out during the fall seasons of 2017 and 2018 to study the effect of magnetic and non- magnetic saline water on seed germination percentage, time required to germinate and seedling productivity of tomato, sweet pepper and eggplants and behavior of seedlings growth irrigated by different concentrations of sea water. Results showed that with the increasing of saline water concentration a significant reduction in germination percentage was observed, the contrary occurred with the time required for seed germination of the tested plants compared to control. Irrigation with magnetized water significantly increased the germination percentage and the time required of germination was decreased. In the nursery experiment, irrigate the seedlings with magnetized water significantly increased the length of shoot and root, leaf width and number, fresh and dry weight of seedlings than those irrigated with non-magnetized water. In addition magnetized water reduced the accumulation of Na and proline and increased the leaves K, Ca and Mg contents. As a result of salinity, all the anatomical characters recorded the lowest values, especially at 3500 ppm salinity level. The application of magnetic water enhanced the anatomical characters of tomato, pepper and eggplant leaf and stem compared to plants irrigated with non magnatized water.

The ADAS(Advanced Driver Assistance systems) are intelligent systems which helps the driver by providing alerts, assistance for taking decisions, and to take automatic actions overriding the driver’s control to protect the passengers in the vehicle and other people on the road. Camera-based driver assistance systems involve a set of data-intensive operations, that pose challenges to implement them on resource constrained embedded computing platforms which are robust and real-time systems. To achieve both real-time performance and high accuracy, the algorithms need to be developed and optimized in such a way that they are suitable for embedded realization. In this work, we present a new monocular camera based assistance framework that captures and analyzes the vehicle’s dynamics both in the front and rear-views of the ego vehicle. In order to achieve this, we present a set of integrated techniques that integrate lane information and contextual cues to detect vehicles which pose high level of threat to the host-vehicle. This threat analysis is used to generate a safe maneuver zone by the proposed technique. With respect to accuracy, the evaluations show high robustness with true positive rates above 95% with false alarm rate of less than or equal to 6%. The presented embedded system operates in real-time frame rates in the considered test bed under real-world highway conditions.

Energy audits were performed at 5 Uzbekistan, Namangan region cotton gins in ten manufactures. Having studied the schedule of influence and change of static loading depending on angular an arrangement saw cylinders we have defined the general spent electric energy on the single-chamber two cylinder gin, by performed calculation the energy consumption per one saw with respect to the angular arrangement of the saw cylinder.

The Concrete is the most important construction material used all over the world. The researchers are trying to find alternative materials that could be used in concrete to be a sustainable material as well as an environmental friendly material. This target is the main goal of recent studies in concrete. This target is considered to be an environmental issue that helps in decreasing the environmental pollution and prevent the emission of greenhouse gases in general and carbon dioxide (co2) in particular. There are millions tons of waste tires rubber that could be one of the main reasons of environmental pollution due to their disposals and burning or storage in huge amounts. In this study an experimental attempt was conducted to partially replace the coarse aggregates (gravel) by shredded rubber of the waste tires rubber. The waste tire rubber was crushed into small pieces of size ranging from (10 mm – 20 mm). The experimental study resulted in producing a modified concrete which is called the (rubber concrete). The replacement of coarse aggregates by crushed rubber aggregates was in percentages of (0 % - 5 % - 10 % - 15 % - 20 %). All experiments were conducted on concrete after 28 days of curing (sinking in water) according to ASTM rules. The experiments are the compressive strength, the indirect tensile strength, splitting strength, flexural strength, core strength, ultrasonic pulse velocity test (UPV), the hammer test (Schmidt Hammer Test), the impact hammer test, the absorption test. In addition to the above mentioned experiments, the density of concrete in each case of replacement was computed. The velocity of sound was measured in each case of replacement as well as the modulus of elasticity and its shear modulus was computed. The percentage of absorption of water was measured in each case of replacement.

This paper analyses the accessibility of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to external financing, particularly banking. Based on the summary reports of 740 Moroccan SMEs, we conducted a panel data modelling to determine the factors influencing access to external financing in Morocco. A binomial longitudinal data model was estimated by conditional maximum likelihood and confirmed that the degree of liquidity and economic profitability are the main factors that explain the increased access to bank financing. Although business productivity is not a critical variable in our analysis, cross-fertilization with productivity and size has confirmed that large, high-productivity firms are more likely to access financing. . Through these results, we have been able to confirm that the banking sector uses negative discrimination against SMEs by giving more weight to the risk profile of these companies compared to other more appropriate factors because of the specificity of these firms for the Moroccan context.

September 12, 2019 was a watershed moment in South African and the world history. It marked the untimely death of Black Consciousness leader Steve Biko at the age of thirty-one (31) in police custody in Pretoria. This was a massive blow to the anti-apartheid struggle because a lot was still expected of him. Biko ranks favourably alongside other value-oriented thought leaders such as W.E.B. Du Bois; C.R.L. Leavis; Dr Martin Luther King Junior; Amilcar Cabral, and Frantz Fanon, to mention but a few. These are remarkable scholar-activists who made it their mission to humanize and conscientise the oppressed through their speeches, writings and direct actions in a world that was falling apart under the leadership of egregious and inhumane leaders. Biko’s death was a costly and hazardous venture which robbed South Africa and the world of a young visionary and exceptionally bright thought leader. September 2019 marks the forty-second year since the untimely death of Biko. This essay revisits his magnum opus, a paper entitled, “Black Consciousness and the Quest for a True Humanity”. It is a remarkable essay in which Biko lays out the parameters of the Black Consciousness philosophy, the circumstances which birthed it, its modus operandi, and its indispensability in a South African state that had made the depersonalisation and dehumanisation of the black “other” its mission. I hereby reaffirm Dr Martin Luther King junior’s assertion embedded in his celebrated “Letter from a Birmingham Jail” that Biko, through the prism of the Black Consciousness philosophy was “a creative extremist” (1992:94).
